There is NO truth in Ken Livingstone's Crossrail claims - Brown should ignore Livingstone and focus on the real needs in the UK economy - 1

Why have I been calling the London FT, the Guardian and ‘Undone mayor’ Ken Livingstone and their colluder in the offence of lying recklessly the ‘London EVENING no standards STANDARD’ liars whenever they have been peddling the London Crossrail hole plot?

The immediate answer is: for they have BEEN lying.

And their lying is seen in what?

In the assertions that they make about Crossrail.

In the ‘reason/s’ that they give for CrossRail.

They have said and are likely to continue to say [as they are wont to do] that Crossrail will bring benefits!

This is a term as wide and as unspecified as the air we al breathe and need.

How can any individual railway line be linked with ‘benefits’ in the way that the crass pluggers for the CrossRail hole plot have linked it?

One paid – hugely overpaid – bureaucrat within the wasteful CrossRail company [CLRL] that is being funded to the time of HUNDREDS of £millions every year – made a false assertion about benefits so typical of the pluggers of CrossRail. The man appeared in a packaged broadcast on the BBC 1 programme ‘The Politics Show’. It was broadcast on 26 March 2006. I had arranged a comprehensive representation of the Khoodeelaar! opposition to the Crossrail hole plot. The actual broadcast edition included only one of the dozens of arguments that I had put to the programme makers working for the BBC.

Along with my comments against Crossrail hole Bill in the BBC1 ‘Politics Show’ package [26 March 2006], there was an assertion by Bernard Gambrill, shown on the ‘Politics Show’ which claim stated that there would be thousands of jobs created in the East End of London if the CrossRail hole Bill was allowed to be built.


I shall examine that particular assertion in comprehensive detail in a later part of this commentary.

I shall deal with in the fullest possible detail because that assertion is one of the biggest lies by the pluggers of the CRASSrail hole plot.


In the BBC1 ‘Politics Show’ package [26 March 2006] as actually broadcast, they did not show the full facts. They concentrated instead on a shifty display of mainly partisan and by definition inaccurate and misleading ‘views’ by participants for the ‘studio discussion’ segment of the package who had been selected on party or factional bases.


Of course any railway line will bring ‘benefits. The question is – what benefits as compared with the costs of producing it. Is the cost of setting up Crossrail going to be more than the benefits it will allegedly bring ?

If the costs exceed the benefits then on that criteria alone, the scheme is a non-starter.
Then the question is: is there independently verifiably objective demand for an intra metropolitan transport scheme that is specifically contained in the Crossrail Bill now in the UK House of Commons?

The answer is: Emphatically not.

How do I know?

Because in AL the time that I have existed in London, I have not come across EVER any clamour about any transport issue like the clamour for the CRASSrail hole scheme that the Corrupter of London Ken Livingstone is responsible for fronting and encouraging in strategic parts of the propaganda outfits today.

There is not a single day that goes by without a barrage of pro-Crossrail hole plot lies being promoted before the public. Mainly via the EVENING STANDARD.

If they had been honest and said that they wanted the UK Treasury to fund a project that would cost upwards of £20 Billion [in 2005 prices] because these peddlers had some specific gains to make via that waste of public money then it could at least be seen that no matter how wrong, the peddlers have the moral courage to own up to their immoral plot.

But they don’t admit that.

Instead, they dress up the CRASS project as being what it is not. They say that Crossrail will solve most [they could be tempted to claim ALL] the country’s economic,. Transport, social ethical, environmental and international trade and commercial problems!

That is why they must be exposed as liars. They must be fingered every time they lie. Their lying must be identified and rebutted every single time.

There cannot be a single other project, no matter how ‘sophisticated’, no matter how many power-wielding crooks are behind it, that could be shown to solve the world's problems in any way like Ken Livingstone has been crazily prompting the London CrossRail hole plot. Livingstone’s typically lying line has been that CrossRail is now the panacea.

To paraphrase Margaret Thatcher – who had uttered a few words fo her own lies [whoever had scripted that one]


So brazen, so persistent, so irrational and so one-sided has the liars’ propaganda for Crossrail hole plot been that even the likes of the USA’s ‘Forbes’ magazine has bought into the lie and has retailed the lie as being reasonable.

As has the USA’s Bloomberg business news outfit.

As indeed has the entire collection of globalising, capitalistic British Big Business-serving 'business press'.


It is for this reason that the claims about the CRASSrail bringing these unthinkable 'solutions' and endless benefits to London and to the UK must be examined and exposed for what they are: lies by touts and perpetrators of the agenda for Big Business …
